Card Class

Hello Stampers,

Yes I managed to do my first card class on Wednesday 7 Dec.  10 People were booked onto the class but only 5 people managed to arrive.

Only one was a crafter, the others weren't.  Although that didn't stop the fun, they all went home with 3 fully made Christmas cards like the one above, although some were in different colours (their choices).

They did ask if I could do one a week, I declined this nice offer, and said I do one a month, and we could go from there.

So my next one will be in January 2012.

Convention Swops

Hello Stampers,

Well here they are in the process of how I achieve 100.  I decided to do it by stages to make it work for me.

The first stage was to stamp them on onto the card and cut them to size.

Then colour them all in, Old Olive will never look the same to me, along with glittering the berries to make them sparkle
Then mounting them onto Early Expresso card, Embossing Old Olive card (this is a brill way of combating bingo wings), adding the ribbon (which ran out Lynney Fahey and Vicky Hayes had to come to the rescue, THANK YOU GIRLIES)
Then the finished article, and believe me when I say, i'm glad they are finished, will start earlier next time :-)

I hope you like them and I hope they are liked by the Stampin Up Demos that will be receiving them this weekend.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Stampin Up Convention

Hello Stampers,

On Thursday I travel to Paris for the Stampin Up Convention.  This is a convention where all the European Stampin Up Demonstrators can go and get training and meet other demonstrators.  Last year it was held in UK (Croydon) but this year we get to go to PARIS (Thats in France just on case anyone was wondering!!!!)

At the weekend Lynney Fahey and I were busy making 100 swops, and believe me it was hard work, you could actually lose the will to live stamping the same thing 100 times, they mounting them onto the card, cutting the card, cutting the ribbon, well you get the idea, if we hadn't had each others company to help and make each other laugh, I don't think I would have managed 100 (actually it was slightly over 100 as I had lost count by that time).

Will be unloading the efforts we went to on Friday so you can see what I will be swoping :-)

NEC

Hello Stampers,

Sorry I haven't blogged recently but I have been a bit busy with things.

I visited the NEC Hooby Craft Fayre at the weekend, to see what the craft world was offering and was a little disappointed that there was nothing new out there.

Popped over to the Stampin Up Stand to say "Hello" to the girlies, who were busy chatting to new potential customers and demonstrators.  Good Luck Girlies :-)

I promise I will post some cards next week, as I need to get some swops sorted for the Stampin Up Convention next weekend and I need to make 100 of them and I haven't even started yet!!!!!!!

So until next time HAPPY CRAFTING.

Craft Fayre

Hello Stampers,

Was involved in a craft fayre a week ago where I had a stall selling my cards.  The event went well and I made £60.00 for HC Pilgrims Trust.  This was my first event I have done so I was really please with the results and everyone was lovely.

There was lots of interest in learning how to make the cards, so you never know there could be card classes in the future.

Thank you for viewing my blog and all the support I have recieved :-)

Hello Stampers.

I seem to be having a run on 50th birthday cards at the moment, and I don't know why as all my friends are really really young!!!! :-)

Went to a class at the weekend and make a beautiful Christmas Wreath, which can be seen on Lynne's blog.  Think we spent more time chatting than actually working, but it was good fun.

Baroque Motifs

Hello Stampers.

Sorry about the picture quality (will do better next time) but the card wouldn't stay flat!!!!!!

The only hard part about this card is that I had to cut out the flowers to stick onto dimensionals!(I don't like cutting out) :-(

And I am going to be doing a Christmas version of this card style so please keep watching :-)

Thank you for viewing my blog.

Stampin' Up Supplies used:
Baroque Motifs and Party This Way Stamp Set. Melom Mambo, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip Inks, Whisper White A4 Card Stock. Dimensionals.

One Layer Wonders AGAIN

Hello Stampers.

Another one layer wonder, but I hope you like it.  Its easy to do its all a matter of masking.  The flower was stamped first, then masked off. For the Pretty in Pink squares I just inked the small square clear mount block and stamped it on the card.  Then masked them off and stamped the words from the French Foliage set.  I will do a version with En Francais over the weekend and see how that comes out.  So look out for that one over the next couple of weeks.

I have also been busy making Christmas cards!!!!! I know its early but its bettter to have them made than rush about making them at the last minute.

Thank you for viewing my blog.

Stampin' Up Supplies used:
Fast and Fabulous (Hostset Level 2), French Foliage amd Somcere Salutations Stamp Sets. Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso Inks, and Whisper White A4 Card Stock.

Hearts to Hearts

Hello Stampers.

I made this card some time ago and thought I would let you have a look at it.  I stamped the checked heart and swirly heart first then masked them off before stamping the rest over the masks.  The "love" heart was then stamped and punched out then placed on dimensionals.  This idea was originally dones with circles at a class with Michelle Last and I thought i'd try it with heart (and only because I didn't have the circle set :-)).

I am going to try and put a new item on every week, this will normally be a Tuesday but next week it will be Thursday as I have an appointment on Tuesday (its my normal work getting the the way of my crafting!!!!).

Thank you for viewing my blog.

Stampin' Up Supplies used:
Pretty in Pink, Real Red Inks, Real Red and Whisper White A4 Card Stock. I(Heart) Hearts Stamp set. Heart to Heart Punch.

Motor Biking

I made this card for Rob, who, as you can see likes motorbikes (so do I :-)).  Again I masked off the areas that I did not want to stamp in and once finished, scored the lines to make the stamping stand out even more.

Stampin' Up Supplies used:
Whisper White A4 Card Stock, Motor Cycle and Occasional Stamp sets and Texture Wheel. and Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake Inks.

50th Birthday Card

Hello.
The card on this post is one I made for my friends 50th.  Infact I had to made two 50th's, both of the cards were made like this but the other card (which I forgot to photograph) had flowers where the owl is on this one (I hope that makes sense, but I will ask if Ann can bring her card into work for me to photograph it form my blog).

Thank you for viewing my blog.

Stampin' Up Supplies used:
Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Real Red (for owl's little heart) and Whisper White A4 Card Stock, Love Stories Paper. Occassional Quotes Stamp sets. Melon Mambo Ink. Decorative Label and Two Step Owl Punch.  Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

One Layer Wonders

Sorry I haven't posted for so long been busy making cards :-)      These one layer card has been made like most of the others on my blog with masking off the areas that you do not wish to stamp onto.  They are very quick and easy to make (hence why I keep making them :-))

Stampin' Up Supplies used:
Whisper White A4 Card Stock, Natures Nest, French Foliage, Sense of Time and Occasional Stamp sets. and Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake Inks.
