Wetlands

Hello Crafters
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and you are looking forward to the new year about to come in.

Here are two birthday cards for a couple of January birthdays I have coming up, although they were made before Christmas I thought they would be better left until after :-)

Thank you for looking at my blog :-)

Last Two Christmas Cards for 2013

Hello Crafters

Last two Christmas cards for this year.

Although every one we make in card class next year, I will also be doing the same designed but for Christmas cards (trying to get ahead of the game, lets see if it works!).

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thank you for looking at my blog :-)

Festive Flurry Cards

Hello Crafters

Needed some quick and easy Christmas cards and the first three fitted the bill nicely.  Made 5 of each of them as they were so quick to do.

The fourth card was a little more time consuming as the sponging takes the time, but the effect was well worth it don't you think?

And as usual, a few sparkles here and there completes the look :-)

Festive Flurry Left Overs

Hello Crafters
These three cards were made with a few scraps of card that I had stamped on for Christmas tags for work and not wanting to waste anything, made these out of the left overs :-)

Added a few sparkles and a greeting and three cards were made.

Thank you for looking at my blog :-)

Post Card Stsmp

Hello Crafters
Wanted so much to use the Post Card stamp after seeing so many pretty Christmas cards out in blog land.

I did all my embossing first with clear embossing powder, then got sponging with the inks to colour the white card.

Don't forget to wipe over the embossing after you have finished sponging to make the white "POP".

Petal's A Plenty

Hello Crafters
Another card from card class, and this was inspired by so many out in blog land but Sandi MacIver's white version stood out for me, so I thought I would have a go.

The red glitters dot is a glue dot with red glitter all over it, but be careful, the glitter does go everywhere!

Thank you for looking at my blog :-)

Glittered Ornament Keepsakes Cards

Hello Crafters
Made these Christmas Cards at my last card class.  You can't really see but on the top and bottom photo, the baubles have glitter on them, and they sparkle so nicely :-)

The glitter is held in place by using Heat and Stick Powder, an amazing product.  If you have never used Heat and Stick, it is so easy to use.

You need to ink up the stamp with Versamark ink (if you are using a coloured ink then ink it up after using the versamark).

Stamp your image and apply Heat and Stick powder.
Heat with a heat gun to set the powder.
Add glitter and heat again to set.

Or if you are like me, forget to reheat it, and hope for the best (but the glitter has stopped on, so far!!!!!) :-)

Convention Swops

Hello Crafters
Sorry life seems to be getting in my way.

Been to Iceland on holiday, then returned to get ready for Stampin Up Convention.

Above are the 85 swops I made, and got 85 lovely swops in return, I will try and find a few minutes to photograph some and show you.

The convention was brilliant and there were 85 Pinkies and we were probably the loudest group.  Some of them can be seen below (they were a noisy bunch) :-)

Had a brilliant time with lovely people who could ask for more :-)

And thank you to my room mate Lynney, having to put up with me for 4 days.

SAS Part 2

Hello Crafters

These are some more of the cards made at the Stamp a Stack.

It was a fun day and everyone went away with plenty of Christmas cards to start writing, but if they are anything like me, you will still leave it to the last minute to get them written and posted!!!!!

Thank you for looking at my blog :-)

Hello Crafters
Sorry for the delay but I have just come back from holiday and forgot to put the photos from my Stamp A Stack class on the computer before I went away!

These are some of the cards made by the class.  Dawn made 20 of this card as you can see from the last photo.

All 9 ladies seem to enjoy the class and the cake P made :-)

Joyful Tidings

Hello Crafters
When I make the cards for the Stamp A Stack, I try to make 6 and Piquita (one of the organisers of the event) picks the 4 cards that are made.

This card was one of the rejects! I do not know how can you reject this cute looking creature, but someone had to go so no little red nose was going to help him (yep I didn't put a red nose on it, maybe it would have been a winner if I had)!

Thank you for looking at my blog :-)

Very Merry Tag

Hello Crafters

Another card from the Stamp A Stack set of cards.

Saw this style out in blog land and made a few alterations, I really do not buy patterned paper, that strictly isn't true, I do buy patterned paper but don't use it, I just buy it and look at it :-)

So I decided to stamp En Francais in Veramark and using clear powder to emboss it, but it seems to have come out a chocolate brown colour, so don't know what I did there!  I think it suits the card.

I just love the bauble from the Very Merry Tag stamp set, or should I say a Mosiac that can be used with the Mosiac Madness set.  And it has a punch so again no cutting out.  I just LOVE Stampin Up, they really do take the hard work out of crafting.

Petals A Plenty

Hello Crafters

Fourth and final Stamp A Stack card.

Just could not resist this card when I found it in blogland, so easy to make and so effective.

Sorry if you think I have photographed two different cards (with the bows being on different sides) it is actually the same card, I just photographed it from a different angle (don't ask, as I don't know why) must be in the blonde in me :-)

Thank you for looking at my blog :-)

Festive Flurry Part 2

Hello Crafters

Here is another of the cards using Festive Flurry and the blur/silver/grey theme, but with a little sparkle on this one.

I used the Festive Flurry Framelit dies to cut out the snowflakes, makes live so much easier.
Thank you for looking at my blog :-)

Festive Flurry

Hello Crafters

Sorry I haven't been posting much, but work and life in general has been very busy.

In fact one of the reason's I have been busy is that  I have a Christmas Stamp A Stack on the 26 Oct 13 and have been making Christmas Cards.

Festive Flurry is the stamp set that caught my eye, it also has Framelit dies, so no cutting out.

One of the designs they will be making at CSAS is the one above.  For some reason blues, greys and silver seem to be the popular colours, and of course the odd pearl or sparkle here and there.

This is one of the simpler cards they will be making on the day.

Thank you for looking at my blog :-)

Papaya Collage and Summer Silhouettes

Hello Crafters
Just been sitting looking at Papaya Collage and could not decide what to do with it.

Then I did a quick search in blogland and found a card I liked and here it is.  (Now all I need to do it find it again so I can tell you who made the original!).

I have white embossed the butterflies out of Papaya Collage and used the leaf out of Summer Silhouettes.  Added a few pearls for the over all effect :-)
Thank you for looking at my blog :-)

Blog Hop, StampinUp, sale-a-bration, MIchelle Last

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

If you have arrived here from Kim's blog, welcome.......

There are so many lovely products in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue that it has been hard to chose what products to use, but as Christmas is my favourite time I just could not resist using Festive Flurry and what is absolutely fab about it is that it has Festive Flurry Framelet Dies to go with it so NO cutting out!!!!!

I decided to make a Christmas Wreath with the snowflakes and put lots of basic rhinestone and basic pearls to make it bling.  And finished it off with Sassy Salutation's Merry Christmas.

Let me know what you think.

The next blog is Catherine's, so go and check out what she has been up to.

Carry Over Items

Carry Over Items

Hello Crafters

Thought I would mention the items that were carried over from the last catalogue as they are Christmas items that are still current, and I would not like you to miss out on these lovely items.

I will be using the Ornament Keepsakes Stamps and Framelit Dies at my Christmas Card Stamp a Stack in October.

Thank you for looking at my blog :-)

Hello, Doily

Hello Crafters

I wanted to use this Hello, Doily stamp.  I actually stamped the Doily onto the white card then cut it, making two card fronts, maybe I should have cut it in half as the other cards do not look as good, hence why they are not on my blog :-)

I used versamark ink and embossing powder for the doily to make them stand out, then used sponge dorbers to put some colour over the emboss image.  Don't forget to use a paper towel or tissue to remove the ink from the image to make it stand out (mainly on the whit eembossing).

Thank you for looking at my blog :-)
